Have an event coming up that you desperately need to lose some weight for? We’ve all been there, panicking at the prospect of having a special date coming up in a week and you want to look your best. I won’t lie to you, losing 10 pounds in a week will be difficult, but completely doable as long as you stick to it. And although I wouldn’t advise doing these 5 steps every week, they are definitely great if you need some extra weight off fast. Follow the steps below to shed those pounds fast.

Eat Whole Foods While Avoiding Processed Junk Food

Simple based diets are great for losing weight fast. Whole foods tend to be extremely filling, allowing you to get fuller faster and longer, keeping you away from those unhealthy processed snacks later in the day. These types of food make it easier to eat fewer calories without getting too hungry, so during the week, make sure to stock up on whole, single ingredient foods, while avoiding those highly processed foods in the process. Whole foods are plant foods that are unprocessed and unrefined, so think of adding things like veggies, fruits, grains, legumes, and nuts to your diets.

Eat Fewer Carbs and More Lean Proteins

Eating fewer carbs has been shown to be an effective way to lose weight and improve health. It can also reduce water weight and bloating, which can help significantly with those who often find themselves bloated.

When losing weight, it is important to go for the foods that are going to keep you full longer. It’s easy to eat a salad, but often times we find ourselves going straight for that unhealthy snack that only adds to the weight. Full body resistance training workouts are also a wonderful way to lower your body’s carb stores and water weight, allowing a sharp decline in weight. Lifting weights is equally important to protect your metabolism and hormone levels, which can often times decline while dieting.

Be Active on a Daily

This is a big one. Most think that because they went to the gym, they don’t have to do anything more than that. But if you want your body to remain at its tippy top shape, you should stay active and increase your daily activities outside of your normal workouts.

How active you stay throughout your day is an important role in weight loss and obesity, especially if you work a job that has you sitting for the better part of your day. Walking, biking, taking the stairs rather than the elevator, standing more, or even cleaning the house can help you burn those calories.

Although these tips and tricks to losing weight are awesome, consider freezing your fat away for a more efficient, easier way to getting those pounds off. It might take 3-10 weeks for those pounds to shed, but you’ll have visible weight loss that stays gone without having to work yourself to the bone to keep it off!!
