Why Fat Freeze?
We’re always looking for a new way to get rid of those problem areas. Whether that be healthy eating, doing yoga, going to the gym, etc., many of us want to work hard to look and feel our best and to have our bodies ready to go for swimsuit season.
For many of us, working out and eating a consistent diet might not be possible in the work/social life balance.
So, what can we do?
Well, freezing away those pesky problem areas may be the answer for you. Fat freezing isn’t a new concept, but has resurfaced and is growing in popularity, which you should take full advantage of.
What is Fat Freezing?
Fat freezing is a noninvasive procedure called Cryolipolysis. It is an FDA approved, non surgical treatment to rid the body of fat in areas we aren’t happy with.
It’s freezing away to a slimmer you, if you will.
Who is it For?
If you’re looking for a one stop shop for fat removal, unfortunately fat freezing isn’t for you.
Fat freezing is for someone looking for mild improvements on their problem areas. So think of those love handles or extra weight on certain body parts.
Because this is a noninvasive procedure, the wrap can only treat tissue it can access, so one must consider their age, skin quality, how thick or “pinchable” their tissue is, etc.
The Science Behind It
I won’t get too technical with the science, but a basic comprehension of how fat freezing works, is by way of fat cells being destroyed while reducing damage to the surrounding skin, nerves, vessels, and muscles, unlike invasive surgeries such as liposuction.
Fat tissue is more vulnerable in cold temperatures than other tissues, which is why these cells are destroyed while the others are not. With freezing temperatures, fat cells undergo cell death. This process is known as apoptosis, which is the release of inflammatory molecules around the treatment area.
Over the course of a couple weeks to months, our incredible body naturally processes the dead cells, transports them through the lymphatic system, and eliminates them.
While the science seems complicated, the treatment is quite the opposite.
So Then, How Does it Work?
Fat freezing is quite simple in regards to the procedure, which is beautiful in and of itself.
Freeze the cold packs for 24 hours before use. Once frozen, place the cold packs in the blue compression vest and wear for 1 hour a day, everyday for 10 weeks. These cold packs will cause the area of fat to drop in temperature, thus killing the fat cells. As a result of constant use, the body then eliminates those fat cells.
And the greatest part about it is, you can go about your normal activities while wearing the belts because of its relaxing nature. You can work, watch a movie, fold laundry, etc, during the hour you wear them.
It’s like wearing a cold shirt for an hour while going about your day.
When Can I See My Results?
Because your body miraculously eliminates these cells on its own, it can take anywhere from 3 to 10 weeks to see results when using the system daily.
Are There Side Effects?
Unfortunately, there a few side effects, but compared to invasive surgery, they are very minimal.
Some may experience slight redness and bruising after the treatment, as well as skin sensitivity and swelling. However, these side effects normally go away on their own after the wrap has been removed.
Fat Freezing v. Liposuction
The difference between fat freezing and liposuction differ greatly in procedure, but not so much in result.
Yes, to get the full effectiveness of fat freezing, one must be consistent with their cold packs.
But unlike liposuction where you have to be put under and cut open with down time afterwards to heal, just to get the perfect results, fat freezing is a completely noninvasive procedure, where you are able to go about your day once done because there is no down time. And the best part, is you can do this at home.
Again, if you expect a complete and total elimination of excess body fat, then unfortunately fat freezing might not yield the results you expect. But for those problem areas we all have and wish to get rid of, then fat freezing might be right for you.
Is Fat Freezing Right for You?
Only you can be the judge of that. But due to the high popularity of this noninvasive procedure and the ever growing industry, if you have problem areas you want to see disappear, you should definitely consider getting a kit for yourself.
If there are no risks and side effects are close to nil, what’s there to lose?
Good luck on your journey to a slimmer more beautiful you!
