Unhealthy foods might be delicious, but can cause some serious damage to your health, and although it might be difficult to pass up the occasional French fry of cookie, you might want to rethink your decision and reach for something a bit healthier, especially if you want your fat freezing kit to work to it’s best potential. Stay away from the foods below. Not only will it help you lose weight, but will keep your health in tip top shape!

French Fries and Potato Chips

While potatoes are healthy and filling, French fries and potato chips are anything but. High in calories, both these items have been linked to weight gain, especially since its way too easy to eat a lot of them. Potato chips have also been contributed to more weight gain per serving than any other food. The scary part of these foods, is that baked, roasted, or fried potatoes can contain a cancer causing substance called acrylamides. Overall, its best to stay away from these.

Sugary Drinks

Sugary drinks are addictive, and it may be hard at times to say no to these delicious drinks, but if you want to lose weight, avoid these at all costs. This includes not only sodas, but juices as well. Sugary drinks are associated with weight gain and can also have disastrous health effects when consumed in excess. Juices are some of the worst drinks to consume, as they have very little in common with whole fruit. They are highly processed and loaded with sugar, and contain no fiber. So drinking that glass of orange juice has no effect as an actual orange.

Pastries, Cookies, and Cakes

This one might be a tad obvious, but can be hard to pass up when a coworker brings these delicious things into the office. Pastries, cookies, and cakes are packed with unhealthy ingredients such as added sugar and refined flour. They also contain artificial trans fats, which have been linked to many diseases. Rather than reaching for one of these treats, try eating some dark chocolate if you are craving something sweet.

Alcohol

Alcohol has more calories than it has carbs and proteins, linking it to weight gain, especially if drank in excess. Drinking in moderation is fine, but that also depends on what type of alcohol. Beer can cause weight gain, but wine in moderation is extremely beneficial, so just watch what kind of alcohol and how much you are drinking.

White Bread

White bread may seem innocent enough, after all, its just bread. But white bread is highly refined and contains a ton of added sugar. It’s high on the glycemic index, which can spike your blood sugar levels. Those who eat white bread have a greater risk of weight gain and obesity. Thankfully, there are a ton of healthier alternatives that you can eat if you have to have your bread!
